Forex demo trading results from 05 to 11 Aug 2011

14 trades successful (70%) while 6 trades stopped out with losses (30%).

this is a tremendous improvement against previous period!

Demo trade with Oanda - GBPSGD long position stopped out at 1.9462

stopped out at a loss of 150 pips, 50 pips more than initially planned (100 pips) due to I alibaba shifted SL lower by 50 pips when seeing original SL of 1.9512 was almost hit but MACD,RSI verse price divergences were still valid last night.

luckily, this is just a demo trade, haha!

it's highly volatile that's why TP must be 300 pips to compensate potential high risk.

Demo trade with Oanda - AUDUSD short position closed on 07 Jul 2011 with profit of 7 pips

short position opened at 1.0745 on 04 Jul 2011 and closed at 1.0738 with TP 1.0545 and SL 1.0845.

lowest low 1.0654 since entry so far.

it formed series of lower lows and lower highs, SL was shifted to 1.0738 accordingly, 5 pips above the last lower high at 1.0733.

this is a good trade well executed though profit is slim because I want to gun for big (200 pips!). well done!

Demo trade with Oanda - EURUSD short position closed 06 Jul 2011 with profit of 165 pips

short position opened at 1.4525 on 04 Jul 2011 and closed at 1.4360 on 06 Jul 2011 with TP 1.4325 and SL 1.4625.

a trick - saw low 1.4342 last night, which was just 17 pips above TP, so I just shifted SL to 1.4360 since I was unwilling to risk more than 17 pips now that TP was only 17 pips away. The new SL of 1.4360 was hit soon after it was in place.

later this pair did hit TP of 1.4325 (200 pips of profit) and declined some more to as low as 1.4286!

shorted at 1.3304 when double tops pattern broke out on the hourly chart and when RSI rebounded and overbought on the 1 min chart.

stopped out at 1.3382.

CHFJPY

bought at 96.96 using buy stop on bid order, sold at 97.29 hours later.

should have bought near 96.80 at point 1 or 2 when RSI was oversold on the 1 min chart after double bottoms pattern broke out on the hourly chart.
