massive selloff began at 3:30pm after seeing reversals in top 20 volume movers, trades to be recorded when free. this is a black day in Sin market, construction index dropped 8.7%, UOB Sesdaq 7.4%.

Live Trading Records for 19 Jul 07, Thu
Wilmar sold 3.64, +1.1% (bot yesterday)
Aztech sold .64, +7.9%
Abterra sold .12, +4.3% (bot yesterday)
Lorenzo sold .455, -8.1% (bot yesterday)
Sihuan sold .805, +7.6%

another massive selloff day for me, seeing trading capital eroded another 10k+. only Ouhua and FerroChina (bot 2.58 today) left. plan to accumulate Ouhua at a rate of 1% of my overall trading capital every trading session starting from today while waiting for trading opportunities next round.

Lessons learned
pick stocks with well established uptrends and beautiful, mature correcting formations and valid breakouts confirmed by huge volumes on the daily chart. try hard to depress urge to find correcting formations on the hourly charts which may not be mature enough for a proper correction - lost a few times due to this greed this time. do not trade if no ideal candidate.

look for beautiful bull flags with strong flag poles accompanied with huge volumes (learned from Joshing).

about sizing when taking a trade: use minimum 1% of overall trading capital every time next round to minimize trading cost. take double weight a time if very bullish on a trade. do not exceed triple weight except on special ocassions such as Ouhua - may bet big on it due to its dirt cheap valuation, but need to use dollar cost averaging skill.

take profit once TP hit. missed many opportunities to take profits this time since TPs were upgraded again and again due to greed. Techcomp is a typical example. do not be stingy on 1 or 2 or 3 bids when taking profit - successfully converting paper profit to hard cash in a timely manner is more important.

danger comes when pennies mad like this time.

Thoughts
I think I can now round up the live trading records starting from 11 May 07 over 2 months ago to save space now that only two stocks left in it.

as for records for these 2 days, that's too long and there is no much meaning in writing down all of them. overall lost around S$80k profit for these 2 days only. but after this, I still made excellent profit of about 70% comparing with trading capital at end of 2006.

I'm happy with my performance so far this year. I'm still learning the trading skills / art. and I'm confident that I can improve my trading skills day by day, month by month, year by year - that's most important for long term survival / profit in the Singapore stock market.

Streetguy88 and Pillow,

My points made perfect sense to me. What words, which statements, which points suggest to you I am mean and jealous?

I don't scold or use dirty words, did I?

Can't understand how or why you are so sensitive. If you have to be here to fish for tips, then you've got to be careful or you may lose money trading. Or could you be seven 7s' nick.

relax lah, guys! pls do not do something like those in joshing's thread - scold this one, scold that one, drive this one out, drive that one out. even I do not have a place there. I hate this. I have no problem with joshing himself and the relationship is gotten soured by some other busybody people. Joshing and myself should have become great friends...

zoonlee's request should have been taken as reasonable under normal circumstances.

but zoonlee pls note that it is really time-consuming and unnecessary. you know why, I have a million dollars trading capital, lost 80k, that means about 8% of overall trading capital. yesterday's highest loss for index is construction and UOB Sesdaq, losing 7.4% to 8.7%, my loss should be in line with them since I trade mostly non blue chips - can you imagine this? that's why there is no issue of credibility at all by doing this.

on the other hand, I had sold everything except Ouhua and FerroChina, what's the point to list all the sold ones one by one for just satisfy your curiosity by sacrificing a few hours of my precious time? it will be surprise if i tell you that there are 10 pages of trading (print screened and saved in Excel). imagine how much time I need to type them one by one and find out corresponding buy cost and calculate the gain / loss percentages?

I'd rather spend the time to be spent on analysis of the market and finding potential trading candidates, which will potentially benefit more for myself and all that are following me.

the loss of 80k is for a high purpose - to aviod further potential erosion of my trading profit. after all, I have acummulated a decent profit even after this loss of profit. note loss of profit, not loss of principal.

The market is always there, come out when not sure. go in and make money when perfect charts reappear. I believe lots of profits are waiting for me and for you and for all of us - hopefully!

I plan to start a fresh live trading records from Ouhua and FerroChina very soon since I only have these two babies as of COB today. Hopefully I can do better this time than the period from 11 May 07 up to date (over 2 months).

follow me, you will become a millionaire, too. I have $0.00 money when I came to Singapore 10 years ago as a welding inspector, promoted to quality engineer one year later and culminating as a planner planning projects of US$2.4b in Australia! but most of my money comes from trading stocks that started in 1993, not from salary!

Cheers!

pls reply if you are not satisfactory with this answer.

this is a final comment on all trading from 11 May 07 up to date. solid trading plan already in place for next round. watch out!

really great information, reading your blog has increased my little knowledge of trading and helped in getting started. Where is the best place to get information on the stocks PE, fair value etc?
do you use really time charts? If so, which ones should I get?

would really appreciate if you could provide some insights.
thanks
